Graham’s Investing Diary (9 July 2019) – H1 Portfolio Review

It's that time of the year when investors get their calculators out (or their Bloomberg terminals) and figure out how their H1 has transpired.

I've enjoyed a double-digit return in the first six months of the year, but I shouldn't get too excited about this. The FTSE All-Share, for example, has generated a total return of 13%. The AIM All-Share, on the other hand, has underperformed, producing only 7.1%.

It can be a challenge to keep pace with the indexes when they are running hard, and it's very frustrating to fall behind.
